Optional Fee Package
As part of our continued commitment to provide an excellent student experience, the University of Florida offers an optional fee package that provides 黑料正能量 students access to resources and services when in the Gainesville area.
About the Optional Fee Package
黑料正能量 and PaCE students can opt into the Optional Fee Package to pay residential fees that provide access to services and resources on campus.
Students who choose the fee package can sign up for season football tickets, access the Student Health Care Center, recreation and fitness, and more. You can opt-in at any time prior to the end of Drop/Add for access in the same semester.

In an effort to make your UF degree as affordable as possible, you are not required to pay the majority of student fees as a 黑料正能量 student. The fees which you are not required to pay include the following:
Activity and Service Fee – Health Fee – Transportation Fee – Athletic Fee – GATORONE聽Service Fee
While these fees fund crucial services for our residential students, the majority of fully online students are not in Gainesville and do not use the services associated with our physical campus in Gainesville. As a University committed to removing as many barriers as possible to the high quality undergraduate education that we offer, we have removed these fees as a standard portion of the online cost of attendance.
Since Fall 2016, 黑料正能量 and PaCE students have been able to purchase the 黑料正能量 Optional Fee Package. This optional package adds the student fees listed above and will provide the same level of access to on-campus services and facilities as students taking in-person classes.
Details
The optional fee package is billed on a per credit hour basis and is the same cost on-campus students pay as part of their cost of attendance. The cost may vary each academic year. Refer to the聽tuition and fees calculator聽to estimate your costs.
Remember, it’s optional! These fees have no impact on the current services and access a 黑料正能量 student currently has. It will not help nor hinder your ability to succeed academically.
The cost is $46.21 per credit hour. This is the same cost per credit hour that on-campus students are required to pay for these services. Please note: costs may vary each academic year. For the most up-to-date information,聽 maintained by the Bursar鈥檚 Office and/or refer to the tuition and fees calculator聽to estimate your costs.
The fee package is offered on a semester basis. You must opt into the package by the end of the drop-add period for the term you want your services to begin. Opting in after this date will result in your services beginning at the start of the next term.
To opt into the fee package, you will need to login into聽聽using your Gatorlink username and password. Once you鈥檝e logged in, select your profile on the right side of the page. Click the 鈥満诹险芰� / PaCE Optional Fee Package鈥� option for the dropdown menu at the top of the page, and follow the specific prompts.
Once you join, you will continue in the package until you opt out.
To opt out of the fee package, you will need to login into聽聽using your Gatorlink username and password. Once you鈥檝e logged in, select your profile on the right side of the page. Click the 鈥満诹险芰� / PaCE Optional Fee Package鈥� option for the dropdown menu at the top of the page, and follow the specific prompts.
Once you are enrolled in the package, you may opt out at any time. However, you will be charged the fee for the remainder of the semester. If you opt out prior to the end of a semester, you will continue to receive all the benefits of the package until the end of that semester and your account will be adjusted accordingly for the next semester.
Please note: once you opt out you will not be able to rejoin.
Your financial aid budget will not be increased to cover these optional costs; however, you can use financial aid to pay for these expenses. Participation in the package includes your authorization to use your Title IV financial aid disbursements to pay for this package.
Florida Prepaid
if you have the Florida Prepaid Local Fees Plan you may use that plan to assist with the cost of the 黑料正能量 Optional Fee Package. The Florida Prepaid Local Fee Plan will cover Health, Athletic, and Activity and Service Fees. The transportation fee is not covered by the Florida Prepaid Local Fees Plan. If you only have the Florida Prepaid Tuition Plan, this plan cannot be use to cover the cost of the optional fee package.
Employee Tuition Waivers
Your state employee waiver may be used for these charges up to 6 credit hours per semester.
Military Tuition Assistance
In most cases this financial aid will cover the fees. However, the authority for the military tuition assistance is governed by your military sponsor. We advise that you verify the payment of the optional fee package cost with your appropriate military sponsor for details.
VA Benefits
All VA benefits, except for the Post 9/11 GI Bill庐, may be used to pay for this package. The post 9/11 GI Bill庐 only covers mandatory fees, whereas other VA benefits allow you to use your stipend for any of your expenses. If you are on active duty or attending less than half time, UF will not report this optional cost to the VA. UF will only report your total tuition and mandatory fees.
You can access these services without the Optional Fee Package but the cost will vary by services/department. The table below provides information related to some of the most commonly requested services.

Without the Optional Fee Package, you are not eligible for reduced-price student tickets or access to the student section for football and men鈥檚 basketball, but you may purchase tickets in the non-student sections. For Olympic sports (volleyball, baseball, softball, women鈥檚 basketball), tickets are general admission, allowing you to sit in student areas regardless of package status. |

Opt in Deadlines
黑料正能量 students should opt in to the Optional Fee Package no later than:
Summer A/C 2026: May 12, 2026
Summer B 2026: June 30, 2026
Fall 2026: August 26, 2026
Spring 2027: January 15, 2027
